The modern day erection project invariably requires that insurance cover is arranged to provide indemnity for a wide variety of interests and risks. Not only are we familiar with the contractual relationships that this creates but also the commercial and financial pressures that such projects inevitably incur.

In operational terms we are fluent in the downstream production facilities and particularly in the often complex financial arrangements for the sale and distribution of products.

Increasingly this expertise has moved into the associated exploration for Gas and gas pipeline and LNG Plants.

In addition to the traditional Damage and Third Party Liability Covers our expertise extends to additional costs of working, increased costs of completing unbuilt works, delay in start up, advanced loss of profits. On operational units our engineering background and business interruption skills are key aspects in resolving the inevitable high value losses from this economic sector.

Our marine team also have particular experience in the movement of rigs, ensuring that we can provide both on-shore and off-shore expertise.

A typical example of our involvement is our appointment to a US$4.3 billion construction programme being undertaken by a consortium of major oil companies in Guangdong province, China and a US$2 billion refinery construction in Oman.
