The Miller International CTRL Claims Notification system was specially developed for the Channel Tunnel Rail Link construction programme to provide real time claim reporting and management systems via the Internet.
Users require no software apart from the standard Internet web-browser, the system provides a claim management solution that is ideally suited for multiple site locations, differing prime contract and sub-contract relationships, enabling project risk managers and Insurers to maintain close control of a variety of aspects relating to a project insurance programme.
Simplified reporting procedures with e-mail alerts ensure that key personnel receive customised messages whenever relevant information is recorded or up-dated. Electronic work products such as reports, spreadsheets, photographs, video etc. can be attached to claims and made available for authorised users to download.
With easy download of information into Microsoft Excel and other formats the system is highly compatible with users' own in-house facilities.
The CTRL programme was developed not only to provide a highly versatile claims reporting and management structure but also as a primary data base for managing the Small Claims Scheme enacted by the UK Parliament to accompany the original Channel Tunnel Rail Link Act. As a consequence it is a perfect vehicle for those projects involving Ombudsmen and similar regulatory overview.
The CTRL website system was the first of its kind to be introduced and has been in operation since 1998.
